I think it's simply incredible about how the news has convinced to many people that Acapulco is the most dangerous city in the world, but whoever told you that, ask them if they've ever been here before.
Yes, I'll give you that, that Acapulco is the main place for drug imports, in my opinion, that's why the rich people don't want too many people (besides tourists) exposing them.
I just wanted to state that as a young, female, blonde, expat who has lived here for seven years, I'm not living in a bunker and I think the mexicans deserve more love for their kindness, awesome food and very family-oriented culture that my family and I love them for! The nature and beautiful beaches of Mexico are no exception.
Even though we are leaving Acapulco after seven years in a week and a half, it's not because it's dangerous, but for many other reasons such as cat 6 hurricane Otis and hurricane John that had a big impact here. Next stop? Sinaloa, (which is another mexican state framed as dangerous).. I must be crazy!
When I'm there, I'll definitely have videos of the place for me to share with you once we're settled. I hope you enjoy this one! :)
