Los cumpleaños son los eventos que más alegría traen a las personas... claro, desde mi perspectiva y experiencia de los muchos eventos que he presenciado y conducido. En esta ocasión, una señora festejaba sus 65 años de vida junto a sus hijos, familiares y amigos.
En el salón adornado, resaltaba a primera vista la mesa con el cóctel; Pie de limón, pie de durazno y un pie de gelatina, llamaban mucho la atención. Empanadas de queso fritas, hechas con harina de trigo, estaban dispuestas en varios platos ovalados, medias lunas (en mi país es una versión de algún cachito sin jamón) y empanaditas de horno rellenas con el famoso "pino" chileno.
No podían faltar el refresco ni el jugo de diferentes sabores.
Birthdays are the events that bring people the most joy... of course, from my perspective and experience of the many events I have witnessed and conducted. On this occasion, a lady celebrated her 65th birthday with her children, her family, and friends.
In the ornate room, she highlighted the table with the cocktail at first glance; Lemon pie, peach pie, and jelly pie attracted a lot of attention. Fried cheese empanadas, made with wheat flour, were arranged in various oval dishes, crescents (in my country it is a version of some little piece without ham), and oven empanadas filled with the famous Chilean "pine".
They could not miss the soft drink or the juice of different flavors.
¡No podían faltar las brochetas de pollo! Todo esto es el abreboca del plato principal que consistía en carne a la olla, que es un tipo de carne que se hierve en agua unas 4 horas y se hace luego en una salsa y verduras finamente picadas. Esto se acompaña con mil hijas de papa, que es papas cocidas cortadas en rodajas que hacen una capa, una capa de crema de leche y queso y se repite el proceso hasta hacer unas 4 capas, que son llevadas al horno hasta que el queso gratine.
Las ensaladas (diferentes a las que hacemos en Venezuela) consistía en pepino cortado en rodajas, maíz desgranado y lechuga, todo por separado (en Venezuela mezclamos todo) aderezada con jugo de limón, aceite y sal.

All this is the starter of the main course, which consisted of carne a la olla, which is a type of meat that is boiled in water for about 4 hours and then cooked in a sauce and finely chopped vegetables. This is accompanied with mil hojas de papa, which are boiled potatoes cut into slices that make a layer, a layer of cream and cheese, and the process is repeated until about 4 layers are made, which are baked until the cheese is gratin.
The salads (different from the ones we make in Venezuela) consisted of cucumber slices, shelled corn, and lettuce, all separately (in Venezuela we mix everything) seasoned with lemon juice, oil, and salt.
Todo estuvo muy bonito, el pastel de cumpleaños, también estuvo delicioso y el ambiente bastante ameno y divertido, pues dos personas vestidas de charros mexicanos, cantaron su repertorio, además de hacer varios concursos donde los invitados muy animados, gozaron bastante.
Canciones de varios artistas, entre los cuales no faltaron temas de Juan gabriel, Vicente Fernández y Alejandro Fernández, mezclados con temas con ese toque chileno que marcan un estilo diferente y fresco.
Al final, decidieron bailar hasta cansarse. Todo debería terminar a las 2 am, sin embargo, me pidieron si podían estar más tiempo. Accedí sin problemas, una hora más no afecta en nada, así que estuvieron agradecidos y satisfechos con la atención.
En lo que va del año, no había estado en este tipo de eventos, cuando me declaré agente libre, para comenzar a emprender por mi cuenta, pero, al pedirme el favor de ayudar, no tuve objeción y quise colaborar durante toda la actividad. Atender y servir a los invitados, siempre me permite disfrutar de la compañía de nuevas personas y la creación de nuevas amistades.
Algunas amistades pueden durar mucho tiempo, otras se acaban al terminar el evento, pero la vida es esa porque a nuestras llegan muchas personas y las que se quedan, son las que formarán parte de nuestras vivencias. Esto es importante porque después pueden llegar a convertirse en parte de nuestra familia.
Everything was very nice, the birthday cake was also delicious and the atmosphere quite pleasant and fun, because two people dressed as Mexican charros sang their repertoire, in addition to doing several contests where the very lively guests enjoyed a lot.
Songs by various artists, including songs by Juan Gabriel, Vicente Fernández, and Alejandro Fernández, mixed with songs with that Chilean touch that mark a different and fresh style.
In the end, they decided to dance until they dropped. Everything should finish at 2 am, however, they asked me if they could stay longer. I accessed without problems, one more hour does not affect anything, so they were grateful and satisfied with the attention.
So far this year, I had not been to this type of event, when I declared myself a free agent, to start undertaking on my own, but, when I was asked to help, I had no objection and I wanted to collaborate throughout the activity. Attending and serving guests always allows me to enjoy the company of new people and the creation of new friendships.
Some friendships can last a long time, and others end at the end of the event, but life is that because many people come to us and those who stay are the ones that will be part of our experiences. This is important because later they can become part of our family.
