平凡世界里的你和我 You and Me in an Ordinary World

Although thirty to forty years have passed since the publication of the novel "The Ordinary World" by author Lu Yao and the later adapted film of the same name, they have been deeply loved and have never declined. In my opinion, one of the important reasons is that 'The Ordinary World' provides hope and motivation to people living at the bottom. Like Sun Shao'an, protagonist of the novel, as long as you are not willing to be mediocre, strive for self-improvement, and fight against fate for a better life, you will have a different life.

Not willing to be mediocre, this is the sublimation of thought, but after all, ideals are very rich, reality is very skinny, and from thought to success, it still needs to go through a purgatory like ordeal.

Who made you read so many books and realize that there is a big world outside of Shuangshui Village? If you had been working in this world since you were young, you would have shared the same ideal with all the villagers now. Every time I read this passage in “The Ordinary World”, my heart is deeply pierced, which may be the troubles and hardships that everyone, especially young people, has experienced.

Not willing to be mediocre, walking out of the mountains and the closed and backward mountain village, you realized that there was still such a big world outside, which was both desirable and helpless. Because everything in this big world is vastly different from the small mountain village where you have always been, including the people in this world. Full of curiosity and hope, you, as well as your beautiful dreams, have been shattered by the people and things in this big world. Poverty, backwardness, and ignorance are things that one cannot abandon in a short period of time. Being ashamed of oneself, combined with the ridicule and teasing of some arrogant individuals, one can really be driven to become crazy.

If you cannot treat yourself correctly and control yourself at this moment, it is easy to lead yourself onto a path of no return, ultimately harming others and yourself.

Isn't the Ma Jiajue murder incident at Yunnan University a good example? Ma Jiajue, who came from a poor background, ultimately embarked on the path of murder because he couldn't bear the ridicule of some classmates. His mother regretted this: if Ma Jiajue hadn't walked out of the mountains and didn't see the outside world, he might have been an honest farmer at home all along. But Ma Jiajue happened to enter the big world, unwilling to be mediocre, but failed to withstand the test of purgatory and headed towards destruction.

Only when a cicada pupa emerges from the dark underground and transforms into a winged cicada, can it sing high in the willow tree. However, the process of transformation is painful and difficult, and there are also examples of failures.
Having ideals and aspirations, one must withstand the blows from various aspects, learn to be strong and resilient, fear nothing and never give up, in order to achieve the ultimate goal.

The ordinary world, ordinary people like you and me, as long as we are not willing to be mediocre, strive hard, and withstand the test of life's purgatory, we will definitely have an extraordinary life.

作家路遥的小说《平凡的世界》以及后来被改编成的同名电影，虽已过去了三、四十年，至今却一直深受喜爱，长盛不衰。而据我看来，其中重要的一个原因，就是《平凡的世界》给生活在底层的人以希望和激励。像小说中的孙少安一样，只要你不甘平庸，自强不息，为了更好的生活向命运抗争，就会有不一样的人生。

不甘平庸，这是思想的升华，可毕竟是理想很丰满，现实很骨感，由思想到成功还要经历如炼狱般的磨练。

“谁让你读了那么些书，又知道了双水村之外还有一个大世界，如果你从小就在这个天地里日出而作，日落而息，那你现在就会和众乡亲抱同一理想。” 每次读到《平凡的世界》中的这段话，我的内心都会被深深戳中，这可能就是每个人，特别是青年人都曾经历过的烦恼和苦难。

不甘平庸，走出大山，走出那个闭塞落后的山村，才发现原来外面还有那么一个大的世界，令人向往却又无可奈何。因为这个大世界里的一切与自己一直所在的那个小山村有着天壤之别，包括这个世界里的人。充满了好奇和希望的你，还有你那美好的梦想，都被这大世界里的人和事击得粉碎。贫穷、落后、无知，这是自身难以在短时间内抛弃掉的东西；相形见绌，自惭形秽，再加上一些狂妄自大之人的嘲笑和戏弄，真的会把人逼疯。

倘若此时，你如不能正确对待，不能把控自己，很容易使自己走上一条不归路，最终害人又害己。

云南大学的马加爵杀人事件不就是很好的例子吗？出身贫寒的马加爵最终因无法承受有些同学的嘲弄而走上了杀人的道路，为此他的母亲很是后悔：如果马加爵没有走出大山，没有看到外面的世界，可能就会一直在家在个老实本分的农民。可马加爵偏偏走进了大世界，不甘平庸，却没能经受住炼狱般的考验，走向了覆灭。

知了狗从暗无天日的地下钻出来，蜕变成长有翅膀的蝉，才会在柳树高处高歌，可这蜕变的过程是痛苦而又艰难的，也有失败的例子。

有理想，有抱负，更要经得起来自各方面的打击，学会自强、坚韧，不畏惧、不服输，才有可能达到终点，实现自己的人生目标。

平凡的世界，平凡的你和我，只要不甘平庸，努力奋斗，经受得住人生炼狱般的考验，就一定会有不平凡的人生。
