My Last Blog Was A Week Ago and I'm Back With A Short Life Update

Hello!

How are you all! It's been a week since the last time I had made a long blog and that was posted in this community. Within the days of my absence in blogging, I experience tough moments in life. It was very difficult as we were also fasting but we didn't have a choice but be strong and conquer the hardships that I'm facing. Another reason why I hadn't posted a long blog is because I didn't have a mobile prepare load within this week. Whenever I posted my actifit report I only paid piso wifi so that I can post a short activity report. I admit I do miss blogging and interacting with everyone here especially with the ones that I'm so familiar with. I do miss some events too but surely I will make it up in the next following days especially now that I already had loaded my sim card. For today's blog, where do I start?

Well, let me share a quick recap of the other days activity and today happenings. The past five days I had been busy with almost the same routine but yesterday it was a different one. When I woke up yesterday morning I immediately did the most important things that was on my mind and that was to repair the sink and our door. Actually it's been days that it was broken but I only had time yesterday. My whole morning was spent repairing those and in the afternoon I spent cleaning the mess I make in the morning. I went to bed early because I was very tired.

Today was the last day of fasting and I woke up at 8 AM. I prepared food for my youngest son. He was the only one member of the family who hasn't fasted. After he finished he food we went to the grocery store to buy laundry soap and fabric conditioner. I planned to washed our prayer dresses that will be used for the Eid tomorrow.

When we went to the grocery store there was no customer so we were accomodated immediately. I spent $2 with all the things that I bought. After paying the items we head back home. While on the way I could feel the heat piercing through my back. It was painful eventhough I wore T-shirt and jacket but still it penetrated to my skin. As we get near the house my face was already full of swear and it made me a little weak. I only rested a few minutes after we arrived at home. Then proceeded to doing the laundry. It was a very good time to hang the clothes outside because it was very hot that time. I thought that kind of weather would continue until afternoon but at noon time it suddenly drizzles. So I quickly grab the dresses I hang outside and transfer it inside.

In the afternoon we went to the market to buy fish, egg, tomatoes and bread for today's iftar. There wasn't so many people in the market but there's a heavy traffic on the road. I assumed it's because some people would travel to their hometown or to their respective families to celebrate Eid tomorrow.

One of the dishes I prepared for the iftar was the sarciadong isda (fish). To prepare this dish I only needed few ingredients such as fried fish, garlic, tomatoes, egg, salt, oil, water and seasoning granules. The fried fish that I used in this dish was the leftover fish that we had in the morning.

The steps in making it:

  1. Heat the pan and add oil to it.
  2. When the oil is heated, add the chopped garlic and sauteed it until golden brown.
  3. I added the tomatoes, sauteed it and add a cup of water and simmer it for three minutes in a medium heat.
  4. I add the two beaten eggs, mix it with the tomatoes and season it with salt and seasoning granules.
  5. I simmer it for another two minutes then mix it well.
  6. I then added the dried fish and it's ready to serve.

This was one of the dish that I really love. My husband loved it too. He consumed almost half of the servings that was served on the table.

Today we also received food from my husband's friend. He is the very good friend of my husband and I'm really thankful to him and to his family. The past few days when we experienced difficulties he was the only one who helped us and I don't know what to do if he wasn't there for us. It's really frustrating when you don't have someone whom we can seek help especially that we are very far with my family and relatives. So having a person like him who didn't hesitate to help was a great blessing from Allah and I'm very much thankful for having someone like him.

No matter how difficult life will be always choose to be positive.

Eid Mubarak to my fellow Muslims around the world.

Greetings,
