A summary of my first week of Exam

In my last post, I mentioned that I had exam starting and so I wouldn’t be able to post a lot(not that I’ve been posting much lately, but I plan to get active). I’ve been through my first week of exam, and have just 5 more days until the semester is officially over.

I started my papers on Monday and wrote 3 courses in a row (Monday-Wednesday). It’s weekend and I have a little time to catch my breath before the week starts and I get busy again. For this last week, I’ll be writing 4 papers, straight from Monday-Thursday.

This is basically me covering the events of the week. It’s actually really just the same 3-4 things everyday for me, until this exam is bagged. So after breakfast and shower everyday, I mostly learn at my hostel for like an hour or two, rest an hour, and I move to the Library later to continue.

That is our school Library over there where the cars are packed. We have a small Library right now, but we’re moving to the bigger building on the right probably this year or early next year after some finishing touches are done inside.

This is me, trying to get some work done at the Library. I’m mostly here for 2-3 hours everyday. I need a haircut, I know.😅

From the Library, I head over to a small restaurant in my neighborhood called “The View” to get food. I mostly have fried rice and chicken.

Sometimes when I’ve had too much fried rice for the week, I switch to Auntie Maggi’s beans joint where I have beans and egg (wrong combination unless you want to win a farting championship).

For my first week, all my papers were in the afternoon at 2pm so I normally skip my afternoon meals and have it around 4 or 5pm after the paper. In the evenings, I go back to the Library sometimes. Other times I study at my place. Most students don’t use the Library in the evening. For some, it’s because of the distance from their hostels and for others, safety concerns because there’s been a few robbery cases here at night.

This has pretty much been my life on repeat everyday from Monday-Thursday. I had no paper yesterday and the day being Friday, I dressed in an African wear (it is a norm for me to dress in African wear on Fridays) and went to the school mosque to observe Jummah.

I’ve started preparing for my last week of exam for the semester again. My first week exam wasn’t bad, I hope for the same or better in the last week.
