Many ways to skin a cat

I want to start off by saying. I don’t want to skin a cat. And I don’t think the person who invented the saying wanted to skin a cat either (beyond the hypothetical).

I just use it as illustration for the concept that everyone does things their own way and no one way is the ‘right’ way. Sometimes doing things the wrong way brings forth interesting results.

I’m quite an amateur photographer, but I took my dslr for a rare outing the other day when I attended our weekly fire spin meet. I posted a few photos already. I didn’t have a tripod and I was using the bulb setting instead of the timer. Which isn’t really recommended.

I knew I wouldn’t get the crisp in focus shots some were achieving without the tripod and timer settings everyone else was using but I like to shoot this way. I find it more fun and my instinct for when to let go of the shutter has brought forth some interesting shapes which may not be professionally crisp or technically sound but I still love the results.

This one looks to me, like some sort or creature hunched over or something 😆

This one shown above, I saw an epic battle where a giant firey stickman was unceremoniously separated from his head, the photo capturing the trajectory of it as it flies off to the left of the shot.

I just like this one because it kinda says ‘ass’ which makes it an ass of fire.

This one looks like a fire painting to me quite abstract and arty. 😍

Whatever you are doing this week, do it your way! Much love
