Habib Bahar bin Smith will undergo a trial for the verdict on the alleged spread of false news at the Bandung District Court (PN) today.
Security was tightened until tactical vehicles (rantis) were alerted.
Reported by detikJabar, monitoring at the location, a number of police officers were on guard around the Bandung District Court, Jalan LLRE Martadinata, Tuesday (16/8/2022). Access to the entrance to the Bandung District Court is only opened by one gate guarded by the police.
Meanwhile, more than one rantis unit and an Inafis car were seen around the Bandung District Court. The police are on guard, both at the entrance to the Bandung District Court and at the door to the court room.
It was also seen that a number of Habib Bahar's supporters were already around the Bandung District Court. They spread to meet the area outside the Bandung District Court.
It is known, Bahar will undergo a verdict trial today. Bahar himself was charged with spreading false news in his Maulid Nabi lecture in Bandung.
"Yes (today's verdict hearing) is scheduled at 09.00 WIB," said Ichwan Tuankotta, one of Bahar's attorneys.
