The seasons are changing and it will soon be much warmer in our region too. The sun is coming out much more often than in the last few weeks and in the near future it will finally be green and colorful everywhere again. Although it was always possible to find some color in the otherwise often rather gray surroundings during the winter.
In Japan, there are enough trees and bushes that don't lose their leaves in winter and are therefore green all year round. And some of them even bloom during that time.
These include, for example, the Japanese camellia, known here as Tsubaki, which fortunately does not require any elaborate winter protection measures and does not need any particularly sheltered locations.
Well, winter in our region is often quite unpleasant, but fortunately it never gets really cold, with temperatures in the low minus range. Apparently the climatic conditions seem to be just right for the Tsubaki, so that it can cheer us up time and again throughout the cold weeks and months with its pretty flowers.
And its flowering season is far from over, as I have just discovered again. In addition to the red flowers, I also found several buds, which will probably open in a few days and then start to blossom. Wonderful, take your time and stay with us a little longer!
However, in three to four weeks, a completely different flower will join in. Soon it will be time for sakura, the cherry blossom that will then enchant the whole country. Fort me that's the first big highlight of spring, which I'm really looking forward to. And you can bet that I will be taking lots of photos of it this year too....

Die Jahreszeiten sind am Wechseln und damit wird es auch bei uns bald bedeutend wärmer werden. Die Sonne zeigt sich schon viel öfter als noch in den letzten Wochen und demnächst wird es dann auch endlich wieder überall grün und auch bunt. Obwohl man auch den Winter über immer wieder auch ein Farbe im ansonsten oft recht grauen Alltag finden konnte.
In Japan gibt es genug Bäume und Büsche, die im Winter nicht ihre Blätter verlieren und deshalb das ganze Jahr über grün sind. Und einige von ihnen blühen sogar während dieser Zeit.
Dazu zählt zum Beispiel die Japanische Kamelie, hier Tsubaki genannt, für die zum Glück keine aufwändigen Winterschutzmaßnahmen notwendig sind und welche auch keine besonders geschützten Standorte braucht.
Nun ja, der Winter bei uns in der Region ist zwar oft recht unangenehm, aber zum Glück wird es dann doch nie richtig kalt, mit Temperaturen im tieferen Minusbereich. Scheinbar scheinen die klimatischen Bedingungen genau richtig für die Tsubaki zu sein, so dass sie uns auch die kalten Wochen und Monate über immer wieder und überall mit ihren schicken Blüten aufmuntern kann.
Und ihre Zeit ist auch noch längst nicht vorbei, wie ich gerade erst wieder feststellen konnte. Neben den roten Blüten fand ich noch etliche Knospen, welche sich wohl in ein paar Tagen öffnen und dann aufblühen werden. Wunderbar, lass dir ruhig Zeit und bleibe noch ein wenig bei uns!
In drei bis vier Wochen wird sich dann eine ganz andere Blüte dazugesellen. Bald ist dann nämlich Zeit für Sakura, die Kirschblüte, die demnächst das ganze Land verzaubern wird. Und das ist der erste große Höhepunkt im Frühling, auf den ich mich schon richtig freue. Und darauf könnt ihr jetzt schon wetten, davon gibt es dann auch in diesem Jahr eine ganze Menge Fotos zu sehen....
