Parecen imágenes tristes, porque se relacionan con el encierro, el mirar el espacio desde la casa, detrás de las ventanas, detrás de las protecciones de las puertas. Son momentos en los que uno observa y se pregunta ¿Qué nos ha dejado esta pandemia que aún se encuentra tan activa en muchas partes?

Mirando detrás de las rejas

Es evidente que las cosas ya no son iguales.
Todos estamos un poco nerviosos, a pesar de que estamos dando los primeros pasos hacia el exterior. Sin embargo, la gente va al mercado, a las plazas, y hasta se reúne con medidas de bioseguridad. Los más osados ya no las usan, y países como España, que ya han sugerido no usarlas, han tenido repuntes, es evidente.

Pero no era de eso de lo que hablaba; hablo del temor que nos ha quedado, de las dificultades que tenemos ahora para salir.

Los hogares se han convertido en un refugio. ¿O tal vez será que hemos descubierto, que en nuestros hogares había todas las cosas necesarias para sentirnos bien?

Hoy, un día cualquiera de mediados de julio, el sol caluroso, el ambiente que anteriormente era una invitación para pasar los días en una playa o en el campo, nos recuerda que muchos hoy, nos quedamos aquí, esperando recuperar las actividades de antes para poder disfrutar el verano.

El mundo, entonces, no es igual

Hemos quedado más sensibles a las enfermedades, a las respuestas que el mundo da ante los problemas de salud, a las legislaciones de cuarentena, aislamientos obligados y necesarios; y sobre todo, hemos evidenciado que nuestra acción puede ser determinante para la salud global en el planeta.

No solo para nosotros, también para la biodiversidad.

Detrás de las ventanas, en un día de julio, se puede entender que hay que transformarnos, al menos en nuestra manera de ver la vida, la naturaleza y nuestra forma de comportarnos ante ella.

We are all a bit nervous, even though we are taking the first steps outward. However, people go to the market, to the squares, and even meet with biosecurity measures. The more daring ones no longer use them, and countries like Spain, which have already suggested not to use them, have had upturns, it is evident.

But that is not what I was talking about; I am talking about the fear we have been left with, the difficulties we have now to get out.

Homes have become a refuge, or maybe it is that we have discovered that in our homes there were all the things we needed to feel good?

Today, on any given day in mid-July, the hot sun, the atmosphere that used to be an invitation to spend the days on a beach or in the countryside, reminds us that many of us are still here today, waiting to recover the activities of the past in order to enjoy the summer.

The world, then, is not the same

We have become more sensitive to diseases, to the world's response to health problems, to quarantine legislation, to forced and necessary isolations; and above all, we have shown that our action can be decisive for global health on the planet.

Not only for us, but also for biodiversity.

Behind the windows, on a July day, we can understand that we have to transform ourselves, at least in our way of seeing life, nature and our way of behaving towards it.
