It is no secret to anyone that the life of an entrepreneur is always full of obstacles and little time available to do all the things that, before starting, he did. My absence these days has been precisely because of this, because of the many things I have to attend to as a person who has decided to take charge of his own financial destiny.

While this is happening, I also dedicate myself to listening to audiobooks while traveling from one city to another by bus, because I think it's a good time to make the most of it, since I don't do anything while sitting when I go to or return to the place where I work.

I must say that I have discovered infinities of audiobooks related to the subject of money management: Ways to produce it, keep it and make it grow... and that I am focused, very focused on this last part, because in the first two, I have the practice very solid.

  2. Let's talk about money: How to live in abundance.

  5. Let's talk about money: Make your properties profitable.

  6. Let's talk about money. Secure some income for the future.

My goal had always been to keep my money, not in the bank, but in US dollars, because I considered it, and still do consider it, a strong currency, but, looking forward to the future a bit, I think it will lose strength before the proposal of the countries that they want to use their own currency for international purchases, leaving aside the long-awaited US dollar.

Now, the topic that brings me back to writing about money is the different ways that exist to stop being a salaried employee and become free people, financially, or in the best of cases, rich people or millionaires, who don't have to worry about money for the next day. People rich's things!

Mr. Warren Buffett, when he talks about money, always says: "Never spend your money before you earn it", and he tells us about 5 key tips to be rich, starting from scratch, that is, starting from being an employee whose salary is barely enough for the next payment date.

Assuming that being rich is only possible for those who have high salaries, is a lie that we have created for ourselves in our minds, and this is the worst self-sabotage that we can do to ourselves, because anyone, with the strategies and the proper knowledge, you can do it.

  1. Create the habit of saving: The starting point of any person who is successful in finances is this; The amount you save is not important, although the greater the amount, the faster you reach your goal, but the consistency with which you do so. Forging this habit, very difficult for many, is the first and most important habit if you want to forge an obscene fortune, with which you can consider yourself free from the ties of a job or a salary. To start, you can do it with a percentage that doesn't put the noose around your neck to survive, but you have to start with something. When I started, I did it saving 3% of my income; Today I save between 50% and 60% of what I earn.

  2. Spend less than you earn: In order to increase the percentage of what we are saving, it is necessary to constantly evaluate which expenses are unnecessary or those that we can avoid. Some call it ant expenses because they are very small expenses that seem insignificant, but the smallest hole can sink the biggest ship. Therefore, eliminating these types of expenses is completely necessary if you want to increase the amount you save, taking us on the fastest path to our financial goal.

  3. If you want to buy something, and you don't have to pay twice in cash, then don't buy it: At this point, I had to reflect a lot to be able to fully understand what this advice covers; Generally, people buy things with the intention of surely impressing someone who most likely doesn't even care. Acquiring things that, when paying for them, you run out of liquidity, is a mistake that is paid with interest. Buying those things you don't need will lead us to sell those we do need. Practically, this is the rule of thumb for those who want a healthy financial life. Of course, this is applicable to those things that are not essential for our survival, but if what we want to buy helps us grow economically, that is, it becomes an asset, then it is worth going ahead and acquiring it.

  4. Leave the Losers Club: You have to get away from those people who live complaining about their financial situation all the time, who live on appearances, showing off the expensive things they have acquired, and who seem more. An effective way to improve is to join people who, like us, seek success and a comfortable life. We must remember that always, and without exception, we will be the reflection of the 5 people with whom we spend the most time, therefore, it is necessary to put aside those who have a life of appearances, those who wait for the weekend to spend on parties or the latest fashion that advertising has hung in society. If you surround yourself with winners, you will be a winner too.

  5. Learn to invest and create your own business: Owning your own business is the best way to take care of our financial future, because all our attention and our energy will be focused on something that will be completely ours, taking control of our income. A business of our own will give us the possibility of generating unlimited income and at the same time, having control over the decisions we must make, our financial health, the hours we want to work, and best of all, working on those projects that we are really passionate about; Although this is not easy (if it were easy everyone would do it) it is not an impossible task to achieve. If you are good at working for someone else, you will also be good at working for yourself, and this is where perseverance, discipline, and the determination to succeed in life come into play.

Life is too short to waste time; We must dedicate ourselves to being happy doing what we like and exploiting our maximum potential. Enjoying what will lead us to financial success should be the task to follow for the rest of our lives.

Saving is important. What we choose to save is also very important.

I have not read the book you recommend. If you recommend it, it must be very good, so I'll look it up too and add it to my list of financial books. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

Hidden Secrets of Money is more about how the financial system works, as opposed to how to succeed at getting money. But I still recommend it for you, and think it will provide some useful information and motivation.

Wow, I found the right articles that I needed regarding money. Thanks for sharing this. I am starting to widen my horizon regarding my perception about money. Looking forward for more. 👍

I highly recommend Hidden Secrets of Money by Mike Maloney, free on YouTube. There are several episodes, but the first 4 are most important. Episode 1 is a good overview of the monetary system. It is made in the USA, but central banking is basically the same around the world so the information applies to all of us.

Thank you so much @drutter. I will go over this.
